TMJ

The temporomandibular joint is the joint of the jaw and is frequently referred to as TMJ. Pain or dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint is commonly referred to as "TMJ".

A few things to ask yourself...

  • Is it difficult or do you experience pain when you open your mouth wide?
  • Does your jaw ever get stuck, locked or "go out"?
  • Is it difficult or do you experience pain when chewing or talking?
  • Do you have "noises" in your jaw?
  • Do you experience pain around your ears, temples or cheeks?
  • Does your bite feel uncomfortable?
  • Do you have frequent headaches?
  • Have you injured your head, neck or jaw within the last 6 months?
